We had another successful meeting on Tuesday, May 5, at Hart’s Fabric in Santa Cruz. Business included information about our October 2015 retreat (only two spaces left!) and the latest news on our charity quilt, which has nearly reached its final destination. We also got updates on two exciting workshops that will be happening in the coming months. We had fun exchanging mug rugs and scraps, winning door prizes, and viewing a particularly wonderful Sew and Tell. If you missed this month’s Sew and Tell, you really missed a lot, because we got some super special peeks at a few works that are not allowed to be photographed or published at this time. And all I can say about that is WOW!!! Sadly, we also learned that Anne Sullivan, our guild’s former long-time VP is moving on and this was her last SBAMQG meeting. Exciting for her but sad for us. Thankfully, Anne is ALL OVER the internet these days so it won’t be too hard to keep in touch with her.
Here is just a bit of what was shared in May:
Some Pantone Marsala challenge finishes.
Who says modern quilters don’t like vintage? Because we do!
Or how about vintage made modern? We like that too!
Even our guests and new members were showing their work tonight. They haven’t given me permission to post their pictures yet but trust me: Eye candy!
And one last finish from Anne. 🙁
More pictures are up on Flickr (link has been disabled). See you next month.
