Our May Meeting was jam packed with information starting with our retreat in November! The Committee and Guild decided upon Happy Valley Conference Center this year, so look forward to many more updates on that!
Sew and Tell had so many great examples of Modern quilts starting with this Corduroy variation on a traditional block by Mickey
Then Susan displayed this fabulous collaboration quilt she was given at the PVQA show. One of our own members, Anith contributed a block!
Here is Susan’s Michael Miller Fabric Challenge Quilt!
Pam showed off her wonderful improv talents as usual!!
This quilt won the blue ribbon for “pieced by one, quilted by another!”, inspired by Yoshiko Jinsenji
Then Dana displayed her first “official” baby quilt after announcing she was expecting!
Dana’s twin sister Betsy (just moved from Seattle) showed off her Christmas Quilt that she started at last year’s retreat!
Renee created this beautiful quilt from a lot of restarted past quilts
Tina showed her cute little swap bee block
And the back to her freshly quilted Radiant Orchid Challenge quilt!
Such a cute example of raw edge applique!
Then Karen showed her gorgeous finished hounds tooth quilt!
All in all, another fabulous meeting with so many great quilts and members attending!
