February 2019 Meeting Recap

We had such a great meeting with incredible inspiration.

We hosted Sara Trail, head of the Social Justice Sewing Academy. Through a series of hands-on workshops in schools, prisons and community centers across the country, SJSA empowers youth to use textile art as a vehicle for personal transformation and community cohesion and become agents of social change. Sara showed us the work that is being created in her workshops and her energy inspired us.

If you were unable to attend our guild meeting, you can still be a part of the work being done. Contact the SJSA and donate, or sign up to be an embroiderer.

Also, we were excited to announce that Chawne Kimber is coming to give two workshops and a trunk show for our guild.

To sign up for these workshops and the trunk show, please go to our events page HERE.

We announced the dates for our annual retreat. September 5-8. Registration will begin on March 6th at 6:30pm.
