We started a new something we are calling “Dear SBAbby” where we can bring our quilting questions and get feedback on quilts if we are stuck. This meeting we had a discussion on blocking and squaring up of quilts. We will continue the topic at the next meeting. Bring any tips and experience to the discussion! Also, if you’d like to bring in a project that you’d like group feedback on, please bring it! Get your guild behind you on your project – we have so much experience between all of us that someone is bound to be able to help.
As always, there were lots of quilts to show including this stunner by Lynn.
Isabel showed us her self-drafted quarter log cabin quilt.
Mo made this beautiful two-color quilt
Mickey gave us a short talk on her experience of going from a traditional quilter to a modern quilter with examples of her progression in terms of color, piecing and design.
And Merydith was on hand to receive her prize for the WIP it good challenge from last year! She won an amazing quilt made by Jacquie Guering. Congrats!!
