Radha Weaver, of www.sewingthroughfog.com started our meeting with an inspiring lecture on sustainable sewing. She advocates finding your creative voice through your own materials. Radha offers an on demand class, Quilt Your Jeans. Her website has several patterns, including the Totebag pattern and The Denim Duo. She established the Thrift your fabric website which is a guide to second hand fabric stores, and Feel Good fibers.com, which is an online second hand fabric store. She provided the guild a discount code for her website: sbamqg25.
The MQG 2025 Quilt Along is starting soon. Register for this free event now. Project will begin April 17.
There will be a Library day on 4/12, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

There will be a donation sew day at Pat's on Thursday 4/3 starting at 11:30.
Iris shared several STEM quilts. She needs 80 quilts for the event. Iris has batting available.
Ruth presented quilt events. There is an Artichoke Festival challenge, a Just quilts! show at the San Jose Quilt museum, and the Monterey Peninsula Quilt Guild show will be May 2-4. The Global Quilt Connection has a variety of classes available. The Santa Cruz Textile Arts Guild and Monterey Bay Metal Arts Guilds are having a show at the Radius Gallery at the Tannery in Santa Cruz.
Retreat update - the retreat is sold out, and a waiting list will be started.
Donation quilt update with Susan R. - Susan shared two quilt tops and a pattern.
