The QuiltCon community quilt, "Modern Rhythm" was displayed. Kathrin volunteered to put on the hanging sleeve.
Fundraising-Lori announced that there would be a pre sale of items during the break.
The SBAMQG membership renewal is now up on the website. Renewal will be $55 for 2025. There will be an option to donate either $10 or $20 extra. There will be a drawing in January for a prize for those who pay by 1/1/25.
Retreat - We need a retreat leader. It is ok to simplify the event, which will be held 5/1/25 to 5/4/25.
Ruth -announced current events. International scrap day is coming up on November 4th. The MQG is featuring Renee’s quilt pattern “Side Swipe”. The San Jose Quilt museum has a show called "25 Million Stitches" to bring awareness of refugees around the world. Members need to register for QuiltCon by 11/30 to receive their discount . PVQA opened quilt submissions this week, which are due 1/13. NCQC announced that PIQF has been cancelled. QuiltCon submissions are due on 10/31.
Pam Rocco is having a pop-up show at the Tannery on Nov 1 at the printmakers studio, from 6-9 pm. This is also posted on the PVQA website
The SBAMQG board election for 2025 was held and the President will be Pat Goulet, Vice President will be Heidi Mackessy, Secretary will be Laura Ryle, and Treasurer will be Lori Green.
There will be a workshop with Kathrin Brown on 1/11 at the First Congressional Church Soquel titled “Order to Chaos”. The cost is $45 and sign-ups start on 10/30. You can sign up on the website.
Susan Raineri discussed donation quilts and showed several finished quilts.
Sew and Tell -Kathy, Lori, Vivian, Darlene showed their spectacular quilts.
