August 2019 Meeting Recap

Hello South Bay Quilters!

We had a wonderful meeting in August with many of us bringing our ideas, enthusiasm and quilts to share.

We are looking forward to our annual retreat in September at Happy Valley Conference Center.

We still have room in our Tara Faughnan workshop. Details are listed HERE.

The results of our design challenge for next year’s charity quilt for QuiltCon was announced. The winning quilt

is titled “Persisterhood” and features hundreds of flying geese in the background and graphic letters spelling out the

title. The color scheme is grey scale with white lettering.  More about this project will be discussed at our September meeting.

This quilt will hang at QuiltCon 2020.

Lynn shared with us her beautiful collection of vintage quilts. The hand piecing and quilting was such a pleasure to feel and see.

As always, we had many beautiful quilts to share.
