September – A Big Month

September was a big month for our little up-and coming guild! We had a fabulous show at SueDee’s (the new space looks wonderful), a very successful (and productive!) sew day, elections, and of course September marked our first “birthday”!

We were also joined by 5 new members! Welcome to the SBAMQG Deborah, Janie, Joann, Mary and Marlene!

To kick off the new year we started a new tutorial and snack sign-up list. Talk to Karen (our brand new vice president!) or Tina (our happily re-elected leader) to sign up to bring a snack to the meeting one month or to give our guild a quick tutorial. We are especially looking for tutorial volunteers! Tutorials are quick and casual. You can demo a technique, trick you learned or a specific project. If you have something that you’re good at, please share your knowledge with the rest of us!

And of course, September had lots of great Sew and Tell.

Thank you Karen for the meeting shots!

And we can’t forget that there was more to show off at the Sew Day:

Thanks Anne for those great photos!

Of course that’s only a sampling of all of the wonderful quilts that September had to offer. Don’t forget to join and watch our SBAMQG Flickr group to see everything at all of our wonderful events!

Just a quick reminder that if you reserved a spot i our November Sewing Retreat, the remaining balance is due at the October meeting. And YES! There are still a couple of spots open if you know anyone who’s interested.

See you Tuesday, October 2 at SueDee’s at 6:30!
